2028336 - Is Explorer re-indexing incremental ?

Symptom

If we index a period between Jan and May first , then I changed the data from Jan to first week of June and re-index again, the second time we re-index would be faster than the first time as the first period Jan to May has been already indexed ? or the entire period needs to be re-index again without taking in account that Jan to May was already indexed.
