2029476 - Web Intelligence Document based on MS OLE DB driver fails to refresh on UNIX server

Symptom

  • On UNIX server ,Web Intelligence Document fails with below error on refresh

    -> Multisource universe (Datafederator)

    Unable to retrieve network layer aliases: com.crystaldecisions.sdk.exception.SDKException$OCAFramework: Unable to find servers in CMS <server name>:6400 and cluster @<server name>:6400 with kind connectionserver and service CS_CORBA_NetworkLayer. All such servers could be down or disabled by the administrator. (FWM 01014)"

    -> Single Source universe (DSL)

    The Following database error occured: (CS) "Unable to bind to NetworkLayer object" . For infromation about this error , please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2054721 on the SAP Support Portal. (IES 10901)

  • Issue is observed when .UNX universe is connecting to Microsoft SQL Server using OLE DB middleware (driver)

  • Same works okay if Server is hosting on Windows operating system
