Symptom
- After configuring Apache Tomcat server for SAP BI 4.1 with SLD on a Linux environment, when trying to send tomcat data to SLD, you run into errors.
- The SLD also does not register the Tomcat SLD DS as synchronized
- Communication issues are ruled out as the servers can communicate / ping each other without issues
- SAP SLD Data supplier (SLD DS) configuration was done according to the SAP Note 1508421 - SAP SLD Data Supplier for Apache Tomcat
- The error as seen from the Tomcat SLDDS logs (eg: sldds-trace.2014-06-03.log) show messaging similar to below log excepts :
FINEST: Output of the SLDReg command is EMPTY

[Help] Execute SLD-DS application with DIAGNOSTIC or DEBUG level
(VERBOSE_LEVEL=4 or VERBOSE_LEVEL=5) and check the SLDDS trace file(e.g. sldds-trace.log file)
[Help] Please see SLD-DS guide (SAP Note 1482727 or 1508421) for more details. - With increased verbose level, the errors seen from the tomcat SLDDS logs under <tomcat_install>/logs folder show following information -
