2030019 - Pick list format is incorrect while viewing Crystal Report in BI Lauchpad in BI 4.1

Symptom

  • Pick list format display is not what it shows in CR 2013 designer.
  • Reports based on SAP BW only face this issue.
  • Other report based on relational datasource works fine.
  • Prompt display is incorrect while scheduling CR report in launchpad.

Environment

  • SAP Business Intelligence 4.1
  • CR 2013 designer.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Crystal report in CR 2013 designer.
  2. Check the prompt values that is shown in designer.
  3. Export the report to repository.
  4. Now, login to launchpad, right click on the CR report and schedule.
  5. Click on Prompt.
  6. The pick list display is not what is seen in the CR 2013 designer.

Cause

Style prompt for SAP report is not set under the CrystalReport.properties file.

Resolution

  1. Stop your application server ( for eg: tomcat).
  2. Navigate to Tomcat/webapps/BOE/WEB-INF/config/default/CrystalReport.properties.
  3. Edit the file and search for core.style.prompt.for.pure.sap.report.
  4. Make this value to true.
  5. Save the report and restart Tomcat.
  6. Check the behaviour again for the affected CR report.
