2034021 - ODBC connection to ServiceNow crashes Designer - Data Services 4.x

Symptom

  • Need to connect via ODBC to ServiceNow web application.
  • The correct OS version of the driver, 32bit or 64 bit provided by ServiceNow, has been installed.
  • Any attempt to use the connection as data source in Designer causes it to crash without any error message displayed.
  • he_err_pidxxxx.log, generated on the client machine in \\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\bin, contains the following message:
