2034197 - Incorrect Valuation Method in Material Cost Estimate - SAP Business ByDesign

The Material Cost Estimate created for a given material is picking the incorrect valuation method.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Choose the Material Cost Estimates view.
3. Click Show All Cost Estimates.
4. Select the material and click View.
5. Notice that the Valuation Method shows as Purchase List Price for the material.

• The inventory cost that is taken while calculating the cost estimate depends of the minimum order quantity mentioned in the purchase contract and the quantity mentioned in the Production Bill of material for one product.
• If the minimum order quantity is higher than the BoM quantity, the contract price is ignored.
• If the minimum order quantity is less or equal to the BoM quantity, the price of purchase contract is selected.

System works as designed for valuation method selection upon material cost estimate creation.
