2034252 - Error: 'Combination of Bank and Account Number With Different Company Exists'

Symptom

When you try to add a Bank Account to multiple companies, system throws below error message:

'Combination of bank, account number XYZ with different company exists'

(XYZ represents the account number)

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Liquidity Management work center.
  2. Go to My Bankssubview.
  3. Select your Bank and click Edit -> Bank Accounts.
  4. Select sub tab Bank Accounts.
  5. Click Add Row button.
  6. Fill in all the details and click Save.

The system gives an error: 'Combination of bank, account number XYZ with different company exists.'

Cause

You are getting the error message as the Bank Account should be unique and you are entering same Bank Account ID in the new Bank Account.

The Bank Account ID is a key and should be unique. The Bank Account ID is used as a short cut in payment transactions to identify the Bank Account.

Resolution

  1. Go to Liquidity Management work center.
  2. Go to My Bankssubview.
  3. Select your Bank and click Edit -> Bank Accounts.
  4. Select sub tab Bank Accounts.
  5. Click Add Row button.
  6. Enter a different Bank Account ID under Accounts tab.

Now you should be able to create new Bank Account by maintaining the unique Bank Account ID.
