2035979 - BI4.x and BW, UDT: Error getting variables for cube [...] data object of the size 4 exceeds valid boundaries

Symptom

A unv universe attaching to BW has been created in BI 4.x. When editing the properties of an object in the UDT and pressing the Parse button, the following error occurs:

Parse failed: Exception: DBD, Error getting variables for cube ZMSDOIITM/ZZMSDOIITM_Q009 (catalog

ZMDSOIITM): Part-field access (offset = 0, length = 5) to a

data object of the size 4 exceeds valid boundaries.State: N/A

Some of the information in the error changes depending on the cube being used and the object being edited. In general, the error is:

Parse failed: Exception: DBD, Error getting variables for cube [cube] (catalog
[catalog]): Part-field access (offset = [num1], length = [num2] ) to a
data object of the size [num3] exceeds valid boundaries.State: N/A
