Symptom

  • ASE returns error 12814 to client :

Msg 12814, Level 18, State 1:
Failed to write information in SYSTABSTATS.

  • when running update statistics on a proxy table with a specified column in the command, for example :

update statistics proxy_table_1 (column_1)
