2037077 - srvbuild or srvbuildres fails with an error: <hostname> is an invalid TCP IP address - SAP ASE

Symptom

When installing a new instance of Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) using the tools srvbuild or srvbuildres, the creation of the instance may fail with the following error

'<host network name>' is an invalid TCP IP address.

when the hostname begins with a digit or any character other than an alphabet (a-zA-Z)
