2040980 - Database Connection fails in the Information Design Tool

Symptom

  • Login fails.
  • Database user name and password set for the user is resting to incorrect credentials.
  • When testing a Relational Connection in the Information Design Tool (IDT), that uses the Authentication Mode: "Use BusinessObjects credentials  mapping", it fails with the error: "Test Failed: Login failed for user <User Name>"
  • Connect successfully to the data source when using the Authentication Mode: "Use specified username and password" for the connection, and entering the same user name and password.
