Symptom

  • ASE errorlog shows error 718 when running sp_showplan on another spid :
Error: 718, Severity: 20, State: 1
Memory allocation from process private memory is being performed by an incorrect process.
Current Spid: '224'. Owning Spid: '361'.

SQL causing error:  sp_showplan 316
  • followed by a stacktrace containing functions :
CgpGenerateSQL::_findVariableValue
CgpGenerateSQL::stripMarkersForTrace
