Symptom
You have successfully uploaded a financial Plan Version from Microsoft Excel and afterwards you want to check the plan data by executing the Cost Centers - Plan/Actual/Forecast report, however you notice that no Plan data is displayed. There is Actual data displayed in the report but Plan column is empty.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
- Go to Reports > List view.
- Search and open the Cost Centers - Plan/Actual/Forecast report.
- Select report view Actual/Plan/Forecast by Cost Center.
- Enter data in mandatory fields Company, Set of Books, Accounting Period/Year and Display Currency - Conversion Date.
- Hit Go.
Notice that the report returns no data for the Plan column.
Cause
You didn't define your uploaded financial plan version as the Default one. Since the Cost Centers - Plan/Actual/Forecast report only displays Plan data for the default plan version, no Plan data is displayed.
Resolution
You need to define your uploaded financial plan version as the Default one in order to obtain Plan data from the report.
In order to achieve this, please refer to the below steps:
- Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
- Go to Planning view.
- Select the Plan Version that you uploaded from Microsoft Excel and for which you want to see Plan data in the Cost Centers - Plan/Actual/Forecast report.
- Click Set as Default.
After this setup you can run the Cost Centers - Plan/Actual/Forecast report again and you'll see Plan data displayed.
