2046540 - Conversion failed convert from a character string to uniqueidentifier - Data Collector Logs

Symptom

The Data Collector log is increasing in size with similar errors as below:

  • ERR> Failed to update database destination [ContactLog]/[DC1-BCMRP-P01 - MRP_DSArea] : Database operation failed : Event = [NewContact],
  • ERR> SQLExecute failed (/37000/[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier.) : Connected = [true]
  • ERR> Database = [], SQLState = [37000], errorCode = [8169] : Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier.
