Symptom
- The following error is reported in the ASE error log:
kernel ulreleasespinlock: spinlock being freed improperly
- Stacktrace is reported including the following functions:
keipanic()
ulreleasespinlock()
ksfreesocket()
soc_nclose()
drop_connection()
kill_proc()
terminate_process()
quitfn()
- ASE may panic and shutdown with the following message due to previous stack:
kernel ueshutdown: exiting
- A stacktrace may also be reported when running monitoring command such as sp_sysmon
strlen()
plsetmonitordesc()
plmonitor_setcurrent()
dbcc_monitor()
- ASE may panic and shutdown due to previous stack
