Symptom
When accessing the Universal Worklist iView in the portal, a message Cannot connect to provider is shown:
Clicking in the Display Connection Status link (shown below) shows further details regarding the error:
Upon clicking in the link, the following error appears for a connector whose type is WebFlowConnector:
“Problem occured while creating JCO client for destination: <system_alias>”
When checking the default trace of the server right after the problem has been recreated (see SAP Note 1596214), following error can be found (only the relevant trace excerpt):
