2050784 - A remote backup fails with Internal Error 'fatori' and Msg 8009 when the Backup Server and the ASE Server are on different versions - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A remote backup of an ASE 16 database fails when the Backup Server is on version 15 (or below) and ASE is on version 16.

  • The Backup Server error messages include the following:

Backup Server: 1.67.2.16: Backup Server Internal Error in function 'fatoi'.

Msg 8009, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'ASE', Line 1:
Error encountered by Backup Server. Please refer to Backup Server messages for details.
