2052489 - Error Message While Simulating Manual Posting - Acquistion for Fixed Asset

Customer is receiving error message "Define a default profit center for company XXX and subledger Fixed Assets" when simulating an Manual Posting - Acquisition.

1. Go to Fixed Assets Work Center.
2. Go to Fixed Assets View.
3. Click on Fixed Assets Sub-View.
4. Select the Fixed Asset.
5. Click on Manual Posting and then on Acquisition.
6. Define the Document Date and the Posting Date (for example, 31/07/2014).
7. Click on Simulate.

You'll receive error message "Define a default profit center for company XXX and subledger Fixed Assets".

Issue is happening because the Start Date for this Fixed Asset is for a date after the one selected on the Document Date and the Posting Date (for example, the Start Date is 01/08/2014).

You can check the Start Date by following the steps bellow:

1. Go to Fixed Assets Work Center.
2. Go to Fixed Assets View.
3. Click on Fixed Assets Sub-View.
4. Open the Fixed Asset.
5. Click on View All.
6. Go to Master Data tab.
7. Go to Basic Data Sub-tab.

 There are two approaches for this issue:

• You can try to anticipate the Start Date (to 31/07/2014 on the example) and then simulate the Manual Posting - Acquisition.
• You can try to postpone the Document Date and the Posting Date (to 01/08/2014 on the example) and then simulate the Manual Posting - Acquisition.

By following one of this options, you should no longer receive the error message.
