- Report is added to the Visual Studio project.
- Any attempt to edit the report, results in the report opening in Notepad.
Environment
- SAP Crystal Reports, Developer Version for Visual Studio .NET.
- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2013.
Reproducing the Issue
- Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2013.
- Install SAP Crystal Reports, Developer Version for Visual Studio .NET, Service Pack 10.
- Add a report to the Visual Studio project.
- Double click on the report to try to do any editing.
Cause
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 was not update with Update 3 level.
Resolution
- Update Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 with Update 3.
