2055193 - SUM file access denied due to antivirus

Symptom

While performing an upgrade or update using the Software Update Manager (SUM), SAPup throws the following errors :

Cannot append to 'DRIVE:\<SUM path>\abap\log\*.ECO': Access is denied
Cannot open 'DRIVE:\<SUM path>\abap\log\<file_name>': Access is denied
could not access file as supposed.
