Symptom
- Running the following select statement in ASE:
SELECT col1,col2,col3,col4,col5,col6,col7 from db.tbl1 WHERE (col1 = 11)
- The following error is reported in the error log:
server Error: 702, Severity:20, State: 1
server Memory request for 1079483768 bytes exceeds the size of single page of 16384 bytes.
- The following stack trace is also reported:

Internal Error: Function 'memalloc' was passed an illegal size value (-2095895210). - Error: 6103, Severity: 17, State: 1
Unable to do cleanup for the killed process; received Msg 707. - Error: 707, Severity: 20, State: 11
System error detected during attempt to free memory at address xxxxx - As a result of error 6103, a phantom spid may be left behind that can only be cleared by rebooting ASE.
