2056376 - J2ee engine cannot start due to error "bad SAPLOCALHOST"

Symptom

  • Installation for java instance failed due to following error:

    ERROR

    FCO-00011  The step start with step key |NW_DI|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_DI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|di|0|start was executed with status ERROR
    ( Last error reported by the step: Java processes of instance <SID>/J**[Java: UNKNOWN] did not reach state STARTING after 20:10 minutes. Giving up.).
 
  • Since Java cannot start, Checking logs in work folder \usr\sap\<SID>\<Instance>\work, following is the error in dev_jstart (NetWeaver 7.1 and above version) or dev_jcontrol (NetWeaver 7.0x version)
