2059617 - Support for SAP Application Views in Data Services and Information Steward

Symptom

  • SAP Application view can be imported successfully into Data Services.
  • SAP Application view cannot be imported into Information Steward.

  • If you try to run a DS job extracting from the SAP View (via ABAP dataflow) you get an error similar to:
    (14.2) 12-17-15 15:51:34 (E) (0316:6780) R3S-140101: |Data flow DF_NAME |Reader ***|Transform ***
    ABAP program <C:/test/ZHTVBVK> syntax error: <"H_TVBVK" is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as>.

  • If you click on View Data in DS Designer for you to get the error:
    "Program /BODS/RPT_STREAM_READ_TABLE.On ECC side a runtime error was occurred. The exception was raised in the ABAP program "/BODS/RPT_STREAM_READ_TABLE" (exception condition: "TABLE_WITHOUT_DATA""
