2060512 - HTTP 500 Server Error Accessing Login Page - EIS

Symptom

  • Following an upgrade, or a fresh installation and deployment of EIS (Enterprise Inventory and Service-level Optimization), accessing the EIS login page
    in Netweaver (i.e. http://server_name:50100/SmartOps) may return the following error: "HTTP 500 Server Error".

  • Upon examination of the Netweaver default trace log, you will see the following errors:
    • Caused by: com.smartops.exceptions.SmartOpsRuntimeException: Initialization failed: Enviroment not set correctly. 
    • at com.smartops.util.Config.initializeSmartOpsHome(Config.java:477)
