Symptom

  • Execution of sp_sysmon may take much longer than the specified sample period to run
  • Procedure execution may fail with ASE error 1508: 

Msg 1508, Level 16, State 2:
Procedure 'sp_sysmon', Line 469:
Create index aborted on duplicate rows.  Primary key is '"spinlock_s ", 117'

  • Affected ASE may have a very large number of physical objects in all databases
