Symptom

  • The systabstats delrowcnt field is used to verify the current count of deleted rows for a given object
  • Rows are deleted from the indicated object
  • The REORG DEFRAG command is executed against the object to compact the space used
  • Checking the delrowcnt field in systabstats following the REORG command shows no change
