2062289 - SUP Error: Server crashes when trying to start with the ECTrace.dll giving a 0xc0000005 exception in the event viewer

Symptom

  • Sybase Unwired Platform fails to start
  • Log files under ~\Sybase\UnwiredPlatform\Servers\UnwiredServer\logs are not generated
  • No bootstrap logs are generated in the logs folder either
  • The event viewer generates errors under the application logs
  • The error itself contains the following:
    • Faulting module name: ECTrace.dll
    • Exception code: 0xc0000005
