2062461 - Null object reference when accessing a DW column by dot notation using the DWObject variable - SAP PowerBuilder .NET

Symptom

  • DataWindow (DW) columns deleted from the DataWindow painter 
  • Accessing the deleted columns by dot notation (.Object.dwcontroldwcontrolname) using the DWObject variable generates a null object reference error message and crashes the application:
