Symptom

  • Drop remote server with Sybase Central, fails with error:

[Sybase][ODBC Driver][Sybase IQ]Primary key for row in table 'ISYSSERVER' is referenced by foreign key 'ISYSSERVER' in table 'ISYSPROXYTAB'
SQLCODE: -198
SQLSTATE: 23000
SQL Statement: DROP SERVER "REM_SERV1"

  • But when exploring the proxy tables related to the remote server in question, the view is empty.
