2063257 - Loading a transaction dump saved after a database shrink on the source database fails with Error 3193. - ASE

Symptom

  • Database dump was taken after the source database was shrunk using ALTER DATABASE OFF
  • Loading a transaction log dump fails with error 3193

Msg 3193, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'myASE', Line 1:
Database 'mydb' does not have space allocated for data page 12345678 from the dump.
Extend the database by 100 MB and retry the command.
