2064168 - MFC version 15.5 , Transaction SY01 ABENDs with SB02 ABEND

Symptom

  • In a CICS region, Transaction SY01 (Sybase listener) failed (abended).
    When the customer tried  to restart, the listener failed with -SYBASE LISTENER SY01 SYBTP23 - LISTENER ALREADY ACTIVE. ABENDING SB02

  • CICS Message User Log Shows:
    000002 00097 XS FE04 XSSB *EXC* INQUIRE_PASSWORD_DATA/EXCEPTION
    REASON(UNKNOWN_ESM_RESPONSE) SAF_RESPONSE(8) SAF_REASON(0)
    ESM_RESPONSE(30) ESM_REASON(0) FASTPATH_AUTH(NO)
