Symptom
1. The IOMS installation completes successfully but while creating a site collection using BusinessObjects site template the following error is received:-
"Sharepoint 2013 Failed to create a custom control 'BusinessObjects UserPreferences', feature 'BOBJ Preferences'"
2. The IOMS install logs reflect the below traces:-
Calling msiexec with parameters: INSTALLDIR="C:\SAP BusinessObjects\" REBOOT="ReallySuppress" MSIRESTARTMANAGERCONTROL="Disable" ALLUSERS=1
Error: Module C:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\EnterpriseFramework.dll failed to register
Error: Module C:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\InfoStore.dll failed to register
Error: Module C:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\PluginManager.dll failed to register
3. These errors are observed for most of the dll's that the installer tries to register.
4. Open the command prompt and navigate to <IOMS Install Dir>\win64_x64\ and type regsvr32 EnterpriseFramework.dll, and press enter to receive the below error.
