Symptom

  • User session terminates unexpectedly.
  • INSERT SELECT statement involving UNIONS is performed.
  • INSERT is not specifying values for some columns in the table that have defaults.
  • Error written to the client session could include

    "trying to write when connection is expecting read"

  • ASE errorlog contains an infected with signal 11 error in tree*CgpPop::_CgpSubstExprVirtCol(OptBlock*,GcvVirtual*,OptMap<short,tree*,_STL::less<short> >*).
  • Stack trace contains the following functions:
