Symptom

  • When starting the SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) replication agent, the following error is reported in the ASE errorlog:

    server Error: 624, Severity:21, State: 1
    server Adaptive Server
    failed to retrieve a row via its RID in database 'xxxxx' because the requested RID has a higher number than the last RID on the page.
    Rid pageid = 0x4126cf9; row num = 0xf. Page pointer = 0x0x2abb1cd1d800, pageno = 68316409, status = 0x105, ptnid = 8, indexid = 0, level = 0.
    server Rep Agent Thread for database 'xxxxx' (dbid = 9) terminated abnormally with error. (major 0,minor 24)
