2069554 - Process Chain Execution Fails after upgrade

Symptom

The following are the most common issues and error messages BPC users face while executing a Data Manager package (BW process chains):

  • Data Manager Status - Failed.
  • Failed to analyze instruction X. (E.g. Failed to analyze instruction /CPMB/FAIL_SWITCH_TO_PLAN,INFOCUBE,%APPBINAME%)
  • Error encountered when running package.
  • Input parameter X not found.
  • CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER.
  • 'CONVT_NO_NUMBER'  (DUMP generated at the backend)
  • Cannot find document / directory. (likely referring to transformation and conversion files).
  • Cannot configure parameter X in task Y.

In addition, there are scenarios where the process chain never finishes, its execution status is not parsed from BW to BPC, or is parsed incorrectly.
