2070724 - The Project Finish Date Not Auto Calculated for Migrated Projects.

The Projects Finish Date was not calculated automatically or it is incorrect  for migrated project. However the duration for project task was set.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management work center
2. Select the Projects view
3. Select the Projects subview 
4. Search for the Project ID XYZ
5. Edit the project
6. Go to Project plan tab, select the project header you see that the Start date and Finish date are same . However the project duration n days maintained.

The projects that are migrated with the released status may have incorrect Finish Date however you see that the duration is set. Based on the Start date and duration the Finish date will not automatically get adjusted. Once a project is in the released status, the scheduling requires the manager to manually Schedule the project to see the adjusted dates and duration. If the dates and duration are required to be automatically calculated, then the project has to be In planning. However, this would again mean that there is a manual release that the project manager is expected to do for every project.

The system is working as designed.
