Symptom
You have created a new shopping cart using the option Shopping Cart(Advanced) and you want to know the logic as to how the delivery address is copied into the shopping cart.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Home work center.
- Choose sub-view Self-Services Overview under Self-Services view.
- Select Go Shopping (Advanced) option.
- Provide a value against Recipient.
- Provide a value against Ship-to/Service Location.
OR
- Go to Project Management work center.
- Choose sub-view Go Shopping under Common Tasks view.
- Provide a value against Recipient.
- Provide a value against Ship-to/Service Location.
OR
- Go to Project Team work center.
- Choose sub-view Go Shopping under Common Tasks view.
- Provide a value against Recipient.
- Provide a value against Ship-to/Service Location.
Cause
When you provide a value against the Recipient, the delivery address is copied onto the shopping cart from the Workplace Contact Data of the employee master data.
When you provide a value against the Ship-to/Service Location, the delivery address is copied onto the shopping cart from the Site Address of the supply chain design master location data.
Note: When value is entered against both Recipient and Ship-to/Service Location in shopping cart, the delivery address in Ship-to/Service Location is selected.
Resolution
This is the standard system behavior and system behaves as designed.

However if you create a shopping cart using option Go shopping sub-view under Self Services view of Home work center, then by default the creator of shopping cart will be the recipient.
The delivery address is copied from the respective employee master data.
