2072570 - Reports - Objectives by Completion Dashboard Portlet - Goal Management

Symptom

Why are completed goals not showing as completed in the Goals by Completion Dashboard Portlet?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management

Resolution

This portlet is a pie chart type report that is commonly added to the Goal Dashboard. It provides insight into the status of employees goals showing in the pie chart the proportion og goals that are Completed, Not Yet Due, or Past Due.

Requirements

Goal Plan needs to be configured with the fields "done" and "due".

To use the Objectives by Completion Dashboard Portlet your goal plan needs to be configured to use a special field called "Percent Complete" (done) and Due Date (due). The % Complete field is a numerical field that allows a person to indicate how complete a goal is from 0-100 with 100 representing that the goal is now complete. Only goals that have 100 will show in the Objectives by Completion portlet as completed, any other goals with values less than 100 will show as Not Yet Due or Past Due based on the Due Date set for the goals.

Note: This portlet does NOT use the Status field that you might also be using. The Status field is commonly used on goal plans. It has a drop-down selector where users can select values such as Completed, Behind Schedule, On Track, Canceled, and any other values that you may have decided to use. These are typically color coded. So although a person might have set teh "Status" to "Completed", it is in no way related to the Objectives by Completion Dashboard Portlet, so is not going to provide any reportable data to that portlet.
