Symptom

  • Execution of ALTER TABLE ... SPLIT PARTITION ... fails with:

ASE is terminating this process.

  • The partition_condition_clause of the ALTER TABLE command omits the destination partition name
  • ASE errorlog reports signal 11 stack trace:

amc_check_ptnbounds_after_splitptn()
amc_recrt_partitions()
s__crtinto_alttab()
