Symptom
- When modifying a Foreign Key (FK) column, e.g. changing the data type, PowerDesigner generates an ALTER TABLE table_name MODIFY column_name statement.
- Selecting the "Always use create statements" option in the Apply Model Changes to Database dialog has no effect and PD keeps generating ALTER TABLE statements.
- In the below example, executing the script generated by PowerDesigner leads to error "ORA-02267: column type incompatible with referenced column type".
- The alter.sql file should drop then create the tables and constraints again.
