Symptom
- This article explains how an Account Code can be set up to auto populate the Account Codes for Classes.
- When a user registers (or is registered) for a class, they need to enter account code. Is there a way for the system to automatically populate the Chargeback Account field that is next to their name/User ID?
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Resolution
It is possible to have account codes pre-populated on the admin side (via Class registrations) as well as on the user side. In order for this to happen, the following criteria must be fulfilled:
- In the Commerce/Purchasing tab chargeback is configured to something other than "No Charge" (e.g. "Charge to Authorized Buyer's Account") and a valid account code in "Profit Center" field.
- In "Price", there is a default price configured that is not null (greater than zero)
- User should have account code set up for the profile
Note: Account code will be prepopulated when conditions above are met, but user can still edit the field to other value they are permitted to use, such as organization account code or user group code as configured in their Account code tab.
If you do not want to have any price for the course, update "Purchasing Option" as "No Charge" for affected classes as well as associated items so that future classes will not require an account code.
