2074582 - Lookup_ext performance problem - SAP Data Services 4.2

Symptom

  • After upgrade from SAP Data Services 3.2 to 4.2 SP3 lookup_ext function where a source table of dozen million rows need to lookup values in a lookup table of dozen million rows using PRE_LOAD_CACHE has poor performance.
  • The creation of a persistent cache table is taking a very long time. It takes up to 5 times more than in previous SAP Data Services 3.2 environment.
