Symptom
When executing RFC Connection (Type T) on SM59 transaction, following error appears:
Error when opening an RFC connection
ERROR: Error (Msg EGW 748 not found)
LOCATION: SAP-Server <server name> on host <hostname> (wp <nr>)

RETURN CODE: 748

Instead of the "748 not found" text, the error details can also be:

Access to registered server is not permitted
In the Syslog (transaction SM21), below error can be seen:
“R3 7 Error in T100, MSG: 748”

Environment
This applies for destinations that are configured with "Registered Server Program" as the "Activation type" on the "Technical Settings" tab page in transaction SM59.
RFC “Connection Test” may work from one server but it does not work from other/s.
