SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2076164 - SMP 2.3 does not start. The last line of the Bootstrap log indicates that the server is checking for licenses

Symptom

  1. After restarting the SMP services, the server fails to start
  2. Only a bootstrap log is created.  The server log (<hostname>-server.log) is not created.
  3. The last line of the bootstrap log is the following:
    2014-10-01 16:18:46.982 INFO    MMS          Thread-10 [com.sybase.sup.server.lm.LicenseManager] [] [] msgId: 131228, message: Using licenses from: C:\SAP\MobilePlatform\Servers\UnwiredServer\bin\..\licenses;;
  4. The processes appear to all be running, but unable to connect with SCC (SAP Control Center)
  5. A Served License model is being used.
