Can forms have 1 step only? PM forms must have a route map to determine the work flow of who gets the form at what point in the process.

A route map can have 1 modify step and then route to completion, but it cannot have 1 signature step only and then route to completion. If you were to create a route map with 1 signature step only, and attach it to a form template, the forms that are created will go first to a step called "Alternate Route User Step" in a modify stage (this is inserted automatically by the system), then it will require the user to route it forward.

Here is a suggested method to have your forms bypass a modify step, and go straight to a signature stage.

1. Use a generic modify step with a Due date 1 days after form creation
2. Check the radio button for 'Automatic send on Due Date'.  This will forward all the forms forward to the next step, which in this example is the signature step. Creating the forms on a Friday afternoon will result in the forms automatically moving forward on Saturday, and employees on Monday will see the forms ready for signature.
