Symptom

  • Why is the Variable Pay Employee History Processor taking in account performance forms which are not completed despite checking Only use completed forms?

Reproducing the Issue

  • Variable Pay Employee History Processor is using performance forms which are not completed despite checking Only use completed forms.

Cause

  • Only use completed forms is a setting applies to Team and Individual Goals sections only, it doesn’t affect Business goals.
     
  • So when running Variable Pay Employee History Process, this setting is not taken in account since it doesn’t affect to the entire Bonus Calculation process but only part of it.

Resolution

  • In a Variable Pay program configuration when working in the Set Bonus Calculation section, you can specify to only use completed performance forms.

  • You need to keep in mind that it won’t affect Variable Pay Employee Processor.  Bonus Calculation is made of several components:

- Business Goals

- Team Goals (optional)

- Individual Goals (optional)

  • Only use completed forms is a setting applies to Team and Individual Goals sections only, it doesn’t affect Business goals.
     
  • So when running Variable Pay Employee History Process, this setting is not taken in account since it doesn’t affect to the entire Bonus Calculation process but only part of it.
     
  • Only use completed forms will be taken in account in Bonus Calculation only, and forms which are not completed will be excluded from it.
