2078179 - Issues with CRM, SRM, etc via Web Dispatcher when using logon groups

Symptom

You have an SAP Web Dispatcher configured for an ABAP system which has two or more instances.

The access can be made directly through the Web Dispatcher or through an SAP Portal system “in front” of the Web Dispatcher (Portal -> iView pointing to the Web Dispatcher -> ABAP backend).

You have also configured a URL logon group, assigning URL prefixes related to an application (like CRM, SRM shopping cart, and so on) to such logon group, in order to distribute the load from this application to specific instances.

This setup does not work some times. Issues randomly occur. Such issues can be:

  • “Session not found” errors;
  • "403 Unauthorized Request" errors;
  • The feature simply not working or returning blank results (like clicking the “Transfer shopping cart” button from SRM; CRM filter and sorting on UI tables not working).
