2079168 - Company Does Not Appear For Selection In Set Of Books Activity

You have created a new company in the Org structure in the Organizational Management work center. You would like to assign a set of books to this company. However this company does not appear in the value help in the Set of books activity.

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work center.
2. Select Implementation Projects View.
3. Select the project and click on Open Activity List.
4. Go to Integrate and Extend tab.
5. Find the activity Set of Books and open the activity.
6. Select the set of books and click on Edit.
7. Navigate to Company Settings tab.
8. Click on Value help for the field Company.

Here you will notice that the company which you have created in the Organizational Management work center is not appearing for selection.

The company which you have created in the system has the Activation date or Effective from date set in future. Since the company / Org Structure is not active, you are not able to find the company in the value help for the company field.

Activation date of the org. structure is set in Future. Hence the company/ Org structure does not appear in the Value help. However, you could still manually enter the Company ID in the Company field.

To view the company in the value help, you need to change the activation date of the respective Org Structure. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Select the Edit Org Structures view.
3. Maintain a current date and click ok.
4. Click Find and search for the affected Org Unit ID.
5. Click Activate > Activate Selected Structure or Activate Selected and Dependent Org Units.
