2079931 - How to set up a custom field AM / PM to be only shown if a fractional absence is selected

• This article explains how to set up the system so that a custom field AM / PM appears when a fractional absence is selected.
• When a user is entering an absence and they choose to enter a quantity of time of 0.5 days (for example) it is important to know if they are planning to take the morning or afternoon off. It would be useful in this scenario that a field will be appear so the user can select AM or PM for the absence.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Time Management

1. Login to Instance.
2. Navigate to create time off page.
3. Select '0.5 days' in the requesting field.
4. A custom field AM/PM should appear.

1. Create a new custom field in the object definition of Employee Time.
2. Click on Details of the custom field.
3. Add fieldId as 'fractionQuantity' in the condition section.
4. Add conditional values as shown in the image below.
5. The custom field will now only be shown if one of the configured fractions has been selected.
