2079939 - Public profile displays the employees local time incorrectly

Local Time on the [Public Profile] displays the wrong time, or the wrong Timezone.

Why it does the time displayed in [Public Profile] not appear to agree with the Employee Central [Job Information] "Timezone" of that employee?

• Carla Grant has a [Job Information] Timezone value of GMT (see red arrow).

• Current Time is GMT 16:29 (see black arrow).
  (We expect Carla’s Local Time to be displayed in the Public Profile as GMT 16:29)

However, Carla Grant's [Public Profile] displays 10:29am:

This is because the Local Time displayed on the [Public Profile] is not taken from the Timezone field in [Job Information].

Instead, the Timezone information is taken from the User Data File as shown using Employee Export.

Admin Center -> Employee Export

• The Import Employee Data / Basic Import that needs to be run to refresh the User Data File TIMEZONE with GMT for Carla.
• Once updated, then would reflect onto the [Public Profile] Local Time for Carla and be shown for her as 16:29.
  
  
  *Note: SF systems can and sometimes DO have their sync configuration set up so when the Job Information Timezone field is changed then the User Data File Timezone gets updated too. In this event these Timezones should always match each other and be in sync, and the Public Profile time will remain consistent too.
